Time to start packing

A wise person once told me to start packing for a mountain climb at least a week in advance, so you know what fits, what fits in your backpack, what you should leave at home, and what you needed to buy before you left. Here’s all my stuff spread out in my apartment — I plan on sneaking at least half of it into Tony’s bike trailer before we get out of California.

Here’s my list of items — coming up with this was kind of a nightmare. Imagine trying to think of everything you’ll need, and all the things you don’t want to have to try to purchase in rural Texas if something breaks. And then throwing half of that stuff out because it weighs too much.

  3. Anti-Monkey Butt Powder?

  4. You said mace twice is that really important to have? How often did you have to use it, what was the total weight of your pack?
